Laura

Built in Granada, in Steven Hill’s workshop and under his direction, Laura has a cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. It has a 65mm scale and is 52mm wide at the nut. It is braced using a traditional 5 fan pattern. Tuners are Perona with ebony buttons.

Frequency Response

Main resonance of the soundboard (T(1,1),2) : 192Hz (36 cents flat of G3)

Anna Maria

The first guitar built in my own workshop in Luxembourg, Anna Maria has a spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. It has a 65mm scale and has a slightly wider neck – 53mm wide at the nut which accomodates larger hands. It is braced using a traditional 5 fan pattern. At only 1.46 kg it is on the lighter side and has a mellow yet resonant tone.

The turqoise purflings, variagated crelicam ebony fretboard and lighter finish gives this guitar a livelier, more contemporary character.

Juliette

Juliette is still in the works. A slightly more experimental project, Juliette has a roasted Adirondack spruce top, which is not commonly found in classical guitars. The top was prepared in Granada under Stephen Hill’s guidance. We chose to brace it with seven fans. Due to its stiffness, we have opted not to have a transverse bar. To complement it’s bright character, it will have a crelicam ebony back and sides. The neck will be made from Spanish cedar, and the bridge from ziricote.
